House made of stone (singular)

And here's a house made out of one big stone! Pretty neat, although I'm not sure how comfortable it'd be after the novelty wore off. Maybe novelty is the wrong word for living in a rock. 


The pictures raise as many questions as answers. Why does it have a roof? Do they have electricity? What is that giant rock doing in the middle of a field anyway? Did a glacier put it there? God? A group of tractors? Do the occupants take offence when people say, "what have you been living under a rock or something?" Do they live there by choice or due to some ancient, multi-generational curse? Where do they pee?



The pictures come from the Daily Mail. You could read the article, but I'll warn you it's about as informative as this one. The house is in Nas montanhas de Fafe in Portugal. I tried to find it on Google Maps but no luck. I guess it must blend in pretty well from the air, being as it's a rock. Here's the back:
